"Chapter 2" - Project 86
I feel like I spend most of my time waiting. Waiting for webpages to load. Waiting for today to be over so I can go to bed and start tomorrow. Waiting for the oven to pre-heat to 400 degrees. Waiting for God to reveal himself to me. Waiting for a wife. Waiting for a promotion. Waiting for inspiration. Waiting for people to read my awesome blog. Waiting for other people to post new awesome blogs. Waiting for the person in line ahead of me (who is obviously violating the clearly-posted 15 item limit) to find their check book so I can buy my lunch. Waiting for Tuesday nights. Waiting for Sunday mornings. Waiting for 10 minute breaks. Waiting for the motivation to stop waiting.
Waiting for something else to come to mind.
I want to take life by the horns, so to speak - I either don't have the courage or the faith. I find it all boiling down to God and a future wife - and I know that I'm seeking them in the wrong order. And I know that that is the reason for the futility. And yet, as much as my mind struggles to climb the hill, my heart dig's it heels in and refuses to lose what is most important to me.
I like the way "refuses to lose" sounds when you say it out loud.

Ben, I think you're much more profound than you generally let on, and though that may sound a little backhanded, it is only intended for good. Yours is an awesome blog; I will attempt to infuse more awesomeness into my next post.
I echo John’s sentiments. You are a good writer and have good things to say. I know what you mean about waiting. I think it sucks because what we wait for seems to never come. Either that, or it flies by with such a speed that we are left feeling a little bit empty. How wonderful would it be to be content in all circumstances, not that we would then circumvent all waiting, but could we be more content in our waiting?
Well, I’ll be waiting for your next post, hopefully with contentment.
